Earlier this June, we had the pleasure of attending the 86th EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition in the vibrant city of Toulouse, France. Known for its aerospace legacy and innovation-driven spirit, Toulouse provided the perfect backdrop for this year’s theme: “Navigating Change: Geosciences Shaping a Sustainable Transition.”

The exhibition floor was full with thousands of professionals from across the globe over the 3 days, geoscientists, engineers, researchers, and innovators—all converging to explore the future of energy and earth sciences.

It was a dynamic landscape of cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking solutions. From interactive seismic imaging displays to AI-powered subsurface modelling tools, each booth offered a glimpse into the evolving world of geoscience. We had engaging conversations with representatives from major industry players, startups, and academic institutions, all eager to share their latest breakthroughs, thoughts and knowledge.

Beyond the exhibition, the conference featured a rich program of technical sessions, workshops, and keynote talks. We left inspired by the depth of knowledge shared and the collaborative spirit that defines the EAGE community.

Looking ahead

Attending EAGE 2025 was more than just a professional milestone—it was a reminder of the critical role geosciences play in shaping a sustainable future. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event in Aberdeen, where the conversation will no doubt continue to evolve.
